DoubleTree by Hilton Cheltenham has been revealed as Gloucestershire's most booked spa. The findings have been revealed by experts in wellness and the UK's leading spa experience and booking agency Spabreaks.com following insights from their 2023 consumer booking data. The spa totalled 32.88% of all bookings made in Gloucestershire in 2023.
With the second most bookings is Gloucester Robinswood Hotel followed closely by Delta by Marriott Cheltenham Chase and Totworth Court. And with the fifth most bookings in and around Gloucestershire is The Greenway. Spabreaks.com founder Abi Selby commented, "It's always really insightful to look back across the past year and see where and how customers are using the spa. At Spabreaks.com we know that everyone uses the spa in different ways, whether it's for a spa weekend break or just a quick visit of an evening. We make sure our offerings suit everyone, and that the spa is a place accessible to all."
5 Most Booked Spas in Gloucestershire
1. DoubleTree by Hilton Cheltenham
With Cheltenham racecourse, the Cotswolds and the regency town of Cheltenham all at your doorstep, this hotel is a fantastic getaway destination with a group of special people. There's a golf course for enthusiasts, as well as a swimming pool to enjoy which lends itself to a steam, sauna and hot tub experience too. Meanwhile, the spa, which is in its own separate area, is the place to go for a session of pampering and relaxation offering head to toe treatments.
2. Gloucester Robinswood Hotel
Beautiful walks, dry skiing, golf and shopping is all within easy reach of this contemporary hotel, but that's not the only reason it's a great family getaway. There are teenage treatments for younger ones in the spa, as well as a children's pool and lazy river but for adults wanting some alone time, there's a hot tub, sauna and steam room to unwind in and a menu of tantalising treatments to send you into a deep state of relaxation.
3. Delta by Marriott Cheltenham Chase
The lively restaurant and outdoor terrace at the Cheltenham Chase Hotel may provide the venue for good food and good times, but the health club and spa is the place to head to unwind and enjoy some pamper time. There's a pool, hot tub and steam room to chill out in, as well as a relaxation room just right for cosy group relaxing. Indulge yourself in a calming facial or massage if you want to bring on the bliss. Alternatively, opt for a manicure or pedicure to get feet and hands looking polished and perfect.
4. Totworth Court
Steeped in history, breathtakingly beautiful and always welcoming, Tortworth Court is where memories are made during special occasions. Offering day spa breaks as well as overnight stays, you will feel truly revitalised at Leaf Spa, whatever your reason for visiting. The treatment menu offers luxurious therapies including a chocolate delight body ritual and a dry flotation tank experience to enhance physical and mental wellbeing. There's a spa lounge for a refreshing tea, but for real decadence, how about a champagne in the hotel's Orangery?
5. The Greenway
This sumptuous property will envelop you with understated luxury and a warm welcome to make for a memorable and romantic getaway. At Elan Spa, the first thing you'll notice is the country chic design, with its exposed beams and brickwork and opulent colours. With a sauna, steam room and a sanarium as well as a hydrotherapy room and champagne nail bar, there's plenty in the way of pampering, but for the ultimate indulgence, try a body therapy or facial treatment using luxury skincare brand ESPA.
