Gloucestershire's Cheltenham Town Hall

Gloucestershire's Cheltenham Town Hall has been voted the second most popular registry office according to a new analysis by engagement and wedding ring experts at Queensmith. Registry office weddings have emerged as an increasingly cost-effective choice for couples looking to get married.

With a surge in searches for registry office wedding venues up by 800%, the growing appeal of these non-traditional ceremonies is clear. Having taken a deep dive into average monthly Google searches, Instagram hashtags and TikTok views, engagement and wedding experts at Queensmith, have revealed the top 20 best registry offices with Gloucestershire's Cheltenham Town Hall coming a close second behind Orleans House Gallery in Twickenham, London.

The analysis revealed that Orleans House Gallery in Twickenham is the most popular registry office in the UK with an average of 36,900 Google searches, 221,503 TikTok posts featuring venue hashtags, and 3,385 Instagram photos tagged at the venue. Cheltenham Town Hall took second place on the most popular registry venues list. With a remarkable 11,500 Google searches, the top searched registry office in the UK, Cheltenham Town Hall also has a strong social media presence featuring 11,313 TikTok videos and 2,977 Instagram pictures posted.

In third place was Chelsea Old Town Hall situated in the Royal Borough of Kensington. The town hall enjoys tremendous support on social media, boasting an impressive 16,181 Instagram photos tagged at the venue, the second most out of all the registry office, and a staggering 72,400 TikTok videos at the venue. Chelsea Old Town Hall also records 31,800 average Google searches.

Adele Narcisi, Gemmologist and Ring Expert at Queensmith says: "Registry office weddings have grown increasingly popular in the past year. They are an excellent choice for couples seeking a straightforward means of formalising their marriage, whether as a prelude to another ceremony or celebration such as a wedding abroad or if they simply wish to commemorate their commitment to each other in a more low-key manner. Civil ceremonies provide the flexibility needed when operating on a tight budget, whilst still ensuring your day is beautiful, personalised and memorable."
