Couples heading to Gloucestershire on their mini-moon can see the incredible landscape that this beautiful region offers in the new feature film INLAND that's in cinemas now across the UK. It's created by talented local Gloucestershire filmmakers who are the next rising stars in the film industry. The film is written and directed by Fridjtof Ryder from Gloucester; produced by Henry Richmond of Stroud; the director of photography is Ravi Doubleday, also from Stroud and the lead actor is Rory Alexander, who graduated from the nearby Bristol Old Vic Theatre, who stars alongside Oscar-winning Mark Rylance.

Verve Pictures is delighted to announce that it has acquired the critically acclaimed feature debut INLAND which celebrated its World Premiere in last year's BFI London Film Festival in the Official Selection category and was nominated for the Raindance Discovery Award. The film is released through Verve's First Features Distribution Support Scheme with funding from the BFI.

INLAND also stars Eleanor Holliday, Alexander Lincoln, Nell Williams and Shaun Dingwall and is produced by Henry Richmond, Louis Paine and Fridtjof Ryder in association with Twenty 20 Media, Fablemaze, Fatcontman, Dva Films, Shakespeare Road and Zebrafish Media. The executive producers are Trudie Styler, Sam Tromans, Ian Dawson, Zak Brilliant, Guy Davies, Matt Cook, Toby Cook, Thomas Atherton, Dougal Mackenzie Smith and Shaun Dingwall.

INLAND is a modern folktale that explores the fractured identity of a young man after the mysterious disappearance of his mother. Guided by a father figure and old friends who care deeply, his journey through the dreamlike spaces of rural England brings him face to face with the loss that haunts him in ways he could never have expected.

Writer and director Fridtjof Ryder said: "I am honoured to be partnering with Verve Pictures on our UK cinema release. As a filmmaker and a cinephile, Verve's history stretches far back to films both formative and deeply important to me. Working with them is a dream come true."
