Experts at Diamonds Factory unveil top wedding trends for winter

A bride and her bridesmaids

Leading custom jewellery retailer Diamonds Factory has analysed Pinterest data to unveil the key trends for winter weddings. With more than 15 years of experience in the jewellery industry, Diamonds Factory was created from the simple idea that luxury products shouldn't cost the earth.

Ella Citron-Thompkins from Diamonds Factory offers her insights. She says, "Autumn and winter weddings are the perfect opportunity to express your unique style. With a cosy, intimate atmosphere, you can create a celebration that truly reflects who you are. This year's trends, from non-traditional engagement rings to vibrant bridesmaid dresses, offer endless possibilities for personal expression and heartfelt connection."

Ella reveals the top six a/w wedding trends:

  1. Whimsical wedding dresses

"This year, brides are embracing the magic of fairytale-inspired weddings with big, whimsical dresses making a dramatic comeback. We’ve seen a 500% rise in dreamy wedding dress searches and a 200% increase in fairytale styles, indicating that brides are leaning into romantic designs that make them feel like the main character of their own story."

  1. Stacked wedding rings

"Couples are increasingly moving away from traditional single-band rings in favour of stacked designs, which often combine a wedding band with an engagement ring and sometimes an eternity or promise ring for a more personalised, layered look. We've observed a 200% increase in interest for stacked rings and an astonishing 2,500% rise in non-traditional styles, as more couples choose custom ring combinations to tell their unique love stories."

  1. Engagement dresses

"The engagement dress has become a statement piece of its own, with more couples opting for an elevated celebration of their engagement. We’ve seen an 80% rise in interest this year, as brides are choosing chic, standout dresses to mark the start of their wedding journey in style."

  1. Minimalist wedding

“One of the top rising trends we’ve seen in the past month is hosting a “minimalistic wedding”. The trend is up by 60% in the past month and involves rustic yet minimal decor. Think wooden chairs with a simple cream bow, and a classic white wedding cake decorated elegantly with gypsophila.”

  1. Colourful bridesmaid dresses

"Bridesmaid fashion is shifting towards bold, coordinated colour schemes, with pink, yellow, and especially blue becoming increasingly popular. Blue bridesmaid dresses have seen a 200% rise, reflecting a growing preference for more vibrant hues. Meanwhile, the 50% decline in mismatched styles indicates a return to cohesive, unified looks for bridal parties.”

  1. Drop-waist wedding dresses

"The drop-waist wedding dress is quickly becoming a major trend, thanks to its ability to flatter the figure and create an elongated silhouette. With a 200% increase in interest over the past year and a 90% jump in the last month alone, this 1920s style is a favourite for brides seeking both elegance and modern sophistication.”
